Driving and Parking
Please have a look at this link:
http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/transport/car-parking-barcelona.html
This is a very helpful and informative web page should you need a place to park. The cheapest place to park is at Estacio del Nord. Parking nearby is impossible, it is the city centre and is expensive and limited to 2 hours. Please park in a secure underground car park and pay a daily/weekly rate.
Flying
If you are flying into Barcelona EL PRAT airport it will cost you c. 25-35 Euro by taxi to the apartment. The cost varies depending on how much luggage you have as each bag will be charged. A taxi will take 30 minutes. Please take a receipt or note down the license number if you leave anything in the taxi, it will be easier to find your items if you have the license number of the taxi.
Taking a Taxi
Arriving by taxi you should tell the taxi driver to take you directly to: C/Regomir, number 25.
Taking Public Transport from Barcelona
If you arrive at Barcelona airport and decide to take public transport, take the over – ground Airport train to Passeig de Gracia, you then need to change onto metro (yellow line) and take the metro to Jaume I. On exiting, you need to take the exit Plaça del Angel, walk up C/Jaume I on the left hand side, turn left into C/Regomir just befor C/Jaume turns into C/Ferran walk straight down C/Regomir to number 25. This method will take at least 1 and half hours.
Taking Public Transport from Girona
If you are travelling with RyanAir (to Girona Airport) you should take the Airport bus that will correspond with your flight and will be waiting outside when you land. It will cost 12 euros one way and it will take 90 minutes and will drop you at Estacio Del Nord in Barcelona where you can take a taxi to the apartment. Be careful as you get off the bus, there are plenty of pick-pockets who will offer to help you with your luggage, do not let them!
We absolutely do not advise taking public transport this is due to length of time it will take and due to the amount of pickpockets operating on the bus, metro and train.
Make sure the metre is on in the taxi and be prepared to be charged extra for each bag.
When needing a taxi from the apartment to the airport it is always best to get one at Plaça Jaume, where there is a taxi rank. Ordering them in advance, is often pointless, they rarely show up…Please take our advice and get one at Plaça Jaume.
Check in/Keys
You will need to call our manager as soon as you arrive in Barcelona. He will make his way to the apartment and meet you at the same time as your taxi. The time you meet will be the time you have agreed with Claire on reservation give or take 10-15 minutes. If you are delayed in the country of departure you must call him - do not send an SMS neither leave a voicemail - speak in person please. If you can not reach him, persist please, it may be that his signal is out of range, but his phone is always switched on and you will need to speak to him on arrival. It is unlikely that you won’t reach this number on your first attempt.
Speak slowly and please state:
- Your name
- Apartment you are staying at: REGOMIR and APARTMENT
- Method of arriving at apartment from airport (taxi or train/metro)
- Agree a meeting time.
The check in staff will be waiting for you outside, if they are not outside, then buzz the intercom. If no answer telephone again to see how long they will be.
Check in is from 2pm.
You will need to pay the remaining 85% of the rental fee in Euros together with the final cleaning fee in Euros upon arrival. The total amount will have been confirmed by email when your booking was finalised. Please bring the rental contract with you and present it to the check in staff so that the correct amount is handed over. Also a copy of one persons passport is required.
If you need a receipt, please email and it will be issued by email or ask the check in personnel for a paper one.
